villagers.
INFORMATION CENTRES. Two Information Centres - one at Kadur and another at Soutikere, NR Pura are set up. Whereas the first one at Kadur has been furnished with diverse forest related information, In Soutikere the building is ready and has to be furnished with such information. These Forest information Centres are going to be the areas where school children and interested people can visit and get to know forests better. Information will be displayed by means of charts, wall paintings, models and wild life trophies etc.
ARBORETUM.
A Natural forest area adjoining to the Forest Information Centre at
Soutikere is being developed as an arboretum where children and people can get a
feel of the forest. They can have a walk in the forest, and identify main
species. A number of plants of medicinal importance have been planted. Big
paragola has been constructed and small fishpond developed.
The idea is to develop these areas
